Parents, in today’s Bible story your child heard that people can choose to follow or not follow God. A rich, young ruler left with sadness after he asked Jesus a question about eternal life.
We will worship the Lord! Our Daily Bible Reading for this week is an admonition from Moses to the children of Israel. It also connects with our Life Point this week: People can choose to follow God’s rules.
“The Bible is not an arbitrary list of prohibitions; it’s an epic story of a Creator more committed to your joy than you could imagine.” You can read “The Unexpected Secret to Joy” by Matt Smethurst here: https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/unexpected-secret-joy/
Human beings are social creatures. We were not designed to live in isolation. We desire to belong, whether it’s belonging to a family, a group of friends, a social network, or a group with a shared interest. The church is a family, the body of Christ. Being a part of Christ’s church is not an option. Christ has joined us together.
Take it Further: Check out “Jesus Answered the Ruler’s Question” in the Bible Studies for Life section of the Lifeway Kids app. This exciting FREE app allows your children to dig deeper into the weekly lessons using fun games and activities.
Now use the Unit Verse you memorized this month to make a goal to set aside time as a family to have quiet time together. Serve the Lord in the community and at church, together. Obey together.
