Parents, today your child heard that Jesus fulfilled Old Testament prophecies. When Simeon first saw the infant Jesus, Simeon immediately knew the baby was the Promised One from the Scriptures.
“Into this context steps the intriguing figure of Simeon, not one of the better known supporting cast from the Christmas narratives in Scripture. But we mustn’t overlook Simeon. He’s a man ready to die.” Read “Why Christmas Is the Antidote to FOMO” by Sam Allberry here: https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/why-christmas-is-the-antidote-to-fomo/
The Weekly Bible Verse your child learned this week directs us to the Life Point: Jesus fulfilled prophecies of the Old Testament.
Merry Christmas from your friends at Bible Studies for Life: Kids!

People look to a variety of religions to give their lives meaning. Some of these religions offer a god who is so beyond us that he is unreachable. Other religions have human leaders, yet their humanity makes them little different from us. He came to earth and became one of us. That is what makes Jesus unique. He is fully God and fully human.
