1s & 2s— Care for Dolls
Bible Story: Jesus Healed Ten Lepers Luke 17:11-19
Life Point: Jesus helped people.
Weekly Verse: Jesus went about doing good. Acts 10:38
Materials: baby dolls, blankets, toy doctor kit
- Invite the preschoolers to care for the dolls. The children can rock the dolls or pretend to doctor them with items in the doctor kit.
- Tell the Bible story as children play. Comment that Jesus helped 10 men become well, and one man said thank you to Jesus.
- Say a brief prayer thanking Jesus for helping people.
3–Pre-K— Build with Ten Blocks

Life Point: Jesus loved people and helped them.
Weekly Verse: Jesus went about doing good. Acts 10:38
Materials: Teaching Picture 5, wooden blocks, several large gift bags
- Put 10 blocks in each gift bag. Place the bags of blocks on the floor with the Teaching Picture.
- Invite boys and girls to choose a bag of blocks to build. Point out the Teaching Picture and talk about the Bible story as children build.
- Comment that Jesus helped 10 men, but only one came back to say thank you.
- Ask boys and girls to name ways Jesus helps them. Help each child say a prayer thanking Jesus for what he named.
Kindergarten— Sort Sets of Ten
Bible Story: Jesus Healed Ten Lepers Luke 17:11-19
Life Point: Jesus loved people and helped them.
Weekly Verse: Jesus went about doing good. Acts 10:38
Materials: Teaching Picture 5, 10 each of various items (small blocks, floral gems, river rocks, bottle tops), large bowl or container, small bowl for each item
- Put all the items to sort into the large bowl. Display the Teaching Picture with the large bowl of items and the empty bowls.
- Tell the Bible story as kids show interest in the activity. Remind the boys and girls that Jesus healed 10 men of a skin disease.
- Guide boys and girls to work together or separately to sort the items into the individual bowls. Kids can count as they sort or count each item after all are sorted.
- Tell the kindergartners that one man came back to tell Jesus thank you for helping him.
- Lead each child to say a short thank-you prayer to Jesus.
