Grades 1-3
Introductory Activity – Life Point Hunt
Materials: poster board, markers, scissors
Write the Life Point on poster board, and cut out each individual word; hide each word around your classroom. Write the Life Point on the whiteboard, but leave eight of the words as blanks. In class, tell your children they will work together as a team to put together today’s Life Point. Direct them to find all the words you’ve hidden around the room and then put them together in the correct order. If they get stuck figuring out the sentence, you can slowly fill in the blanks on the whiteboard to help them. Afterward, have everyone say the Life Point together.
