Ethics and morals have become skewed in our world today. People want to live life on their own terms, but God has given us a clear and concise path to follow through the Ten Commandments. Unfortunately, too many people see these Commandments as simply a list of dos and don’ts, but the truth is that obeying these Commandments leads to a rich and full life. And ultimately, these commands teach us to live in love toward God and others. With this fresh look at the Ten Commandments, we won’t focus so much on the things we’re not to do. Instead, we’ll take a look at the ways obedience frees us to live for Christ.
Session 1: Place God First

The Point: God is to have first place in every aspect of life.
Session 2: Honor God
Scripture: Exodus 20:7-11; Psalm 145:1-7
The Point: Our relationship with God is seen in how we honor Him.
Session 3: Honor Parents
Scripture: Exodus 20:12; 2 Samuel 15:7-14
The Point: Honor for parents is seen in our words and actions.
Session 4: Honor Life
Scripture: Exodus 20:13; 1 Samuel 26:7-11,22-25
The Point: Respect human life as God does.
Session 5: Honor Marriage
Scripture: Exodus 20:14; 2 Samuel 11:1-5
The Point: Physical intimacy is reserved for one man and woman within the covenant of marriage.
Session 6: Honor All Relationships
Scripture: Exodus 20:15-17; Psalm 37:1-6
The Point: Integrity and contentment in Christ form the foundation for good relationships.
