Jesus makes a powerful difference in the lives of His followers. In the Old Testament, God’s people were set apart from other nations in the things they ate and avoided eating, what they wore, and their worship of God. The way we are set apart today is by living like Jesus.
When Jesus was on the earth, it was clear to see that the things He valued and the ways He lived were very different from others. He wasn’t selfish but served others continually. He shared and provided for others. And as the ultimate expression of His living differently, Jesus gave His life on the cross.
And even though we live in a world and culture where our lives look like so many others, the difference Jesus makes in us should be clear. Let’s choose every day to live set-apart like Jesus.
