Unit 1, Session 1: Prophets Told About Jesus’ Birth
God’s plan to save people from sin and death was not a secret plan. God used the prophets to give hope to His people. They said God would send a Messiah—born into the world as a baby to live the perfect life people fail to live and die the guilty death we deserve.
Unit 1, Session 2: Angels Told About Jesus’ Birth
Mary wanted to do God’s plan. Being Jesus’ mother would be hard, but she wanted God to be praised. Jesus also brought praise to His Father. He gave up His life and died on the cross to rescue people from sin.
Unit 1, Session 3: Jesus Was Born
Jesus was born! This was very good news! Jesus was not like other babies. Jesus is God’s Son. God sent Jesus to earth from heaven. Jesus came into the world to save people from their sins and to be their King.
Unit 1, Session 4: Wise Men Worshiped Jesus
The wise men came to worship Jesus as King. God promised to send a King who would be King forever. Jesus is the King who will always be King. Jesus is the true King, and He deserves all our worship.
Unit 1, Session 5: Jesus Talked with the Teachers
As Jesus got older, He became strong and wise. God blessed Jesus, and Jesus got ready to do what God sent Him to do. God sent Jesus into the world to die on the cross and rescue people from sin.
Unit 2, Session 1: King David Thanked God
God promised David that every king of Israel would come from David’s family. God kept His promise. God sent His Son, Jesus, to be part of David’s family. Jesus is our King. Jesus is alive, and He will be King over God’s people forever.
Unit 2, Session 2: Jesus Fed a Crowd
By feeding the 5,000, Jesus provided for the physical needs of the crowd. The next day, Jesus called Himself the bread of life. (John 6:35) Only Jesus is able to satisfy our souls by providing forgiveness, friendship with God, and eternal life.
Unit 2, Session 3: People Sang to God
God called his people to build a special altar where they could worship Him, Now, because of Jesus, God’s people don’t have to go anywhere specific to worship Him. We can worship Him anywhere!
Unit 2, Session 4: Jesus Prayed in a Garden
When Jesus was on earth, He prayed that God’s will would be done. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus brought glory to God by rescuing people from sin and death.
Unit 3, Session 1: David Played Music for the King
King Saul offered a sacrifice that only the priest was allowed to give. God rejected Saul as king, but He had a plan to send His Son, Jesus. King Jesus never sinned, and He gave His life as the perfect sacrifice for us.
Unit 3, Session 2: Jonathan and David Promised to Be Friends
David and Jonathan were very good friends. Jesus calls us friends. (John 15:15) Jesus is a greater friend than anyone. He showed His love for us by giving up His life to rescue us from sin.
Unit 3, Session 3: David Helped Mephibosheth
David remembered his friendship with Jonathan and was kind to Jonathan’s son. Jesus commanded believers to love one another. Because He has shown great love to us, we can show love to others.
Unit 3, Session 4: Nehemiah Rebuilt the Wall
Nehemiah helped God’s people fix the walls around their city. The walls protected the people from their enemies. Jesus protects us from our enemies. When we know and love Jesus, He keeps us safe and we will live with Him forever.
