Parents, in today’s Bible story your child learned that God is always in control. God promised Moses and the Israelites that He would always be with them, just as He was when He led them out of slavery.

“We need to hear it again: salvation is not the reward for obedience; salvation is the reason for obedience. Jesus does not say, ‘If you obey my commandments, I will love you.’ Instead, he first washes the feet of the disciples and then says, ‘If you love me, you will keep my commandments’ (John 14:15). All of our doing is only because of what he has first done for us.” Read “Five Reasons to Obey the Ten Commandments” by Kevin DeYoung here: https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/kevin-deyoung/five-reasons-obey-ten-commandments/
The Daily Bible Reading for today, found on your One Conversation™ page, reminds us not to be afraid. Continue on to verses 2 and 3 and be encouraged today.
Bookstore shelves are full of books claiming to guide us and show us what to do. Pick a subject, and someone is ready to give you direction on the matter. This is nothing new. Solomon said, “There is no end to the making of many books” (Ecclesiastes 12:12).
The easiest way to memorize this verse is to break it up into three phrases. You can learn the Unit Verse with your child this week if you do it together!
