Social Media-Week of January 5

November 19, 2019 By William Summey 1 Comment

Sunday

Parents, in today’s Bible story your child learned that God hears people’s prayers. God called Moses from a burning bush. God heard His people cry out for help, and He responded.

Monday

“The world is filled with fairy tales, but there is one grand tale that gives them all meaning. The God whose words brought time, space, matter, and energy into being, the God who in the fullness of time took on human flesh—the God who, after being crucified and buried in a borrowed tomb, stood with one foot on death and the other on the great deceiver—is worthy of your trust.” Dan DeWitt tackles “How Do We Explain Talking Donkeys and Burning Bushes” here: https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/how-explain-talking-donkeys-burning-bushes/

Tuesday

Take it Further: Check out the “God Chose Moses” section of the Bible Studies For Life: Kids Family App. This FREE app engages your child to dive deeper into the weekly lesson by utilizing fun games and activities.

Wednesday

The verse we read today can be found on the Daily Bible Reaching Schedule on the One Conversation page. Read with us as we discuss effective prayer today.

Thursday

Many skeptics view a person’s experience with God as merely subjective thinking, something the person wants to believe: your belief in God is nothing more than wish fulfillment. Can that really be said of a person whose experience is based in the historical fact that Jesus Christ was resurrected and is alive?  Though people might argue with your explanation, it is hard to discount such personal transformation in Christ.

Friday

Saturday

The Unit Verse for this month is about praising God’s greatness. What a great reminder for our responsibility in our homes. Learn this verse together and set the example.
