1s & 2s— Make Door Hangers

Bible Story: Daniel Prayed Daniel 9:1-10
Life Point: The Bible teaches people.
Weekly Verse: Call to Me and I will answer. Jeremiah 33:3

Materials: Bible, construction paper, scissors, crayons, colorful shape stickers, address labels printed with the Weekly Verse

• Cut from construction paper a door hanger for each child. Give each child a door hanger and a verse label to attach to her door hanger. 
• Encourage boys and girls to decorate their door hangers with the crayons and stickers. 
• Tell the Bible story as preschoolers work. Comment that Daniel knew what was right because he knew what the Bible taught him. Open the Bible as you say the Weekly Verse.

3–Pre-K—Decorate the Bible Verse

Bible Story: Ezekiel Offered Hope Ezekiel 37
Life Point: The Bible teaches people.
Weekly Verse: I am your God. Ezekiel 37:27

Materials: Bible, Teaching Picture 6, paper, markers and crayons, star stickers

• Write the Weekly Verse, I am your God. Ezekiel 37:27 in the center of a paper using large letters. Give each child a paper as they join the activity.
• Read aloud the verse as you point to each word on the paper. As the children to decorate the verse, open the Bible to Ezekiel 37 and talk about the Bible story. Point to the teaching picture and explain what they see. 
• When each child finishes his work, help him put his finger on the reference, Ezekiel 37:27, in the Bible. 

Kindergarten—Spell Bible Story Words

Bible Story: Ezekiel Offered Hope Ezekiel 37
Life Point: The Bible teaches people.
Weekly Verse: I am your God. Ezekiel 37:27

Materials: Bible, letter tiles, index cards, marker, magnetic clips, tray

• On index cards, print these words, one word per card: Ezekiel, hope, bones, prophet, God. Place the index cards on a table with the letter tiles. Mark Ezekiel 37:27 in the Bible with the Bible marker.
• Encourage children to spell other words they know, or help them spell words from the Weekly Verse.
• Guide children to spell the words from the Bible story. Talk about the story and how the people learned from God’s words, which we call the Bible.
• Open the Bible to the marked verse and say it with the kids.
