3–Pre-K— Make a Bible Marker
Bible Story: Jesus Is Alive Matthew 28:1-10
Life Point: Jesus is alive.
Weekly Verse: Jesus is alive. Matthew 28:7
Materials: Allergy Alert sign, Teaching Picture 8, clear contact plastic, live flowers, paper plates, adhesive address labels, marker, tape, scissors
- Before the session cut the plastic into 3-by-8-inch pieces. (You will need 2 pieces for each child.) Using a computer or marker, print onto individual labels the Weekly Verse. Separate the petals from the flowers and put them on the paper plates. Post the allergy alert listing the flowers being used.
- Tape one piece of plastic for each child onto a table, sticky side up. Encourage children to decorate the plastic with the flower petals. Tell them to leave enough bare plastic to stick with the other piece. Give each child a verse label to add to her marker. When a child is finished, help him put another piece of plastic over the label and petals to make a Bible marker. Trim the edges if necessary.
- Talk about the Bible story and show the teaching picture as children work. Tell the boys and girls that Jesus is alive, even today!
