1s & 2s— Find Pictures of Jesus
Bible Story: A Special Supper Matthew 26:17-19,26-30; 1 Corinthians 11:17-29
Life Point: People remember the things Jesus did.
Weekly Verse: Jesus said, “Remember Me.” Luke 22:19
Materials: children’s Bible with pictures, Teaching Picture 5, sticky notes
- Before the session, look in the Bible and find pictures of Jesus. Put a sticky note on each page so that it is sticking out the side.
- Lay the Bible and the teaching picture on the floor.
- Invite a preschooler to sit with you and open the Bible to find the pictures of Jesus. Talk about each picture as the child finds it.
- Show the teaching picture and talk about today’s Bible story. Comment people remember Jesus and the things He did.
3–Pre-K— Walk on a Bible Verse Path

Weekly Verse: Jesus said, “Remember Me.” Luke 22:19
Materials: heavy weight paper, clear contact plastic or clear packing tape, scissors, marker
- Cut the paper into large stone shapes. Write Jesus said, “Remember Me.” Luke 22:19 onto the paper, one word per paper. Make at least two sets. Using clear contact plastic or packing tape, securely attach the papers to the floor in a path.
- Invite a preschooler to step in the “stone” path. Say the words as he steps on each one. Encourage him to walk again and say the words of the verse with you.
- Say that people remember the things Jesus did.
Kindergarten— Dot Paint the Name Jesus

Weekly Verse: Jesus said, “Remember Me.” Luke 22:19
Materials: Bible, light-colored construction paper, marker, dot markers or dot stickers
- Before the session, print the name JESUS large enough to fill a sheet of construction paper for each child.
- Invite kindergartners to decorate the name JESUS. Encourage them to use the dot markers or dot stickers to place dots on the outline of the word. Ask the children to tell you something they remember about Jesus while they are working on the project.
- Tell the Bible story. Say that people remember the things Jesus did.
- Say the Weekly Verse together. Voice a simple prayer thanking God for Jesus.
