Bible Story: Peter Told About Jesus Acts 2:1-42
Life Point: God helps people tell others about Jesus.
Weekly Verse: Jesus said, “God will give you power to tell about Me.” Acts 1:8
Materials: Teaching Picture 9, cardboard blocks
- Display the Teaching Picture with the blocks.
- Talk about the Bible story as preschoolers stack the blocks.
- Suggest that preschoolers could use the blocks to build a church.
- Comment that God helps people tell about Jesus. Tell kids they learn about Jesus at church.
3–Pre-K— Use a Microphone

Materials: Teaching Picture 9, toy microphone, recording device
- Show the Teaching Picture to a preschooler interested in the microphone. Talk about the Bible story.
- Encourage her to use the microphone to say the Weekly Verse. Comment that Peter talked to a large group of people and told them about Jesus. Say that God helped Peter tell the others about Jesus.
- Record children saying something they know about Jesus. Play the recording back for them.
Kindergarten— Explore Other Cultures

Materials: Bible, Bibles in other languages, books about other cultures, paper, pens
- Arrange the Bibles and other books on a table with the paper and pens.
- Invite boys and girls to investigate the books and Bibles. Point out and compare the different language Bibles to the English Bible. Encourage kids to copy words they in which they might be interested.
- Tell the Bible story as the children study the books. Comment that God helped Peter and the other disciples so they were able to speak in other languages to help people hear about Jesus.
- Help the children name things they have learned and could tell about Jesus.
