Bible Story: The People Crossed the Red Sea Exodus 13:17-22; 14
Life Point: God can do all things.
Weekly Verse: God, You can do anything. Job 42:2
Materials: Bible, Teaching Picture 10, strip of paper, Kids Activity Page, footprints cut from construction paper, tape
- Tape the footprints in a path around your room. Mark today’s verse in the Bible with the strip of paper. Lay the Bible, teaching picture, and Activity Page on the path at different places.
- Invite a preschooler to walk along the footprint path. When you reach the Activity Page, help the child do the activity. When you reach the teaching picture, talk about the Bible story. When you reach the Bible, open the Bible and say the verse.
- Comment that God helped the people cross the sea. Say: “God can do all things.”
3–Pre-K— Play with Boats

Weekly Verse: God, You can do anything. Job 42:2
Materials: Teaching Picture 10, toy boats, wooden blocks, blue paper or fabric
- Place the blue paper with the boats and blocks. Prop the teaching picture nearby.
- As preschoolers play with the boats, tell the Bible story. Say that the people didn’t use a boat; God helped the people cross on dry land.
- Point to the teaching picture where the people are crossing. Comment that God can do all things. Say the Weekly Verse together.
Kindergarten—Paint the Bible Story

Weekly Verse: God, You can do anything. Job 42:2
Materials: Teaching Picture 10, manila paper, markers, blue washable paint in cups, paintbrushes, painting smocks
- Across the top of each paper, in landscape position, print the Weekly Verse. Make a paper for each child. Display the items on a table.
- When kids come to the table for the activity, tell the Bible story. Show the teaching picture of the people crossing the sea. Give each child a paper. Tell them to draw pictures of small people walking across the paper, then use the paint to make the sea that God parted for them to cross.
- Continue talking about the story. Say that God can do all things. Read the verse from the top of the page as kids finish.
