Life Point: People can choose to help.

Materials: sturdy toy cars, cardboard blocks

  • Invite boys and girls to roll the cars and build with blocks. Suggest they could build a road with the blocks and drive the cars on them.

Materials: towel, dishpan with water, dish drainer, sponge, dish towel, plastic dishes and cups

  • Place the dishpan with water on a table on top of a large towel. Place the other items beside the dishpan.

  • Lead the children to say the Weekly Verse as they wash dishes.

Kindergarten—Decorate a Bible Verse

Bible Story: Jesus Answered a Ruler’s Question Luke 18:19-23
Life Point: People should choose to love God.
Weekly Verse: Jesus said, “Love God with all your heart.” Matthew 22:37

Materials: Teaching Picture 7, banner paper or poster board, markers, colored circle stickers

  • Print the Weekly Verse plus the reference in all capital letters on the banner paper or poster board.
  • Invite kindergartners to decorate the verse by drawing with markers in the white spaces and putting circle stickers over the letters.
  • Read the verse with the children and talk about the Bible story. Comment that the ruler did not love God with all his heart; he loved his possessions more than God.
