1s & 2s—String Beads
Bible Story: Priscilla and Aquila Acts 18:1-3,18-28
Life Point: Families can worship and tell about God.
Weekly Verse: My family will worship God. Joshua 24:15
Materials: Bible, Teaching Picture 13, large wooden beads, shoelaces or thick strings, large basket
- Place the beads and strings in a basket. Lay the Teaching Picture near the basket. Sit on the floor with the Bible, opened to Acts 18, in your lap.
- Invite preschoolers to string the beads. Tell the Bible story as preschoolers work. Comment that Paul worked with Priscilla and Aquila to make tents.
- Say the Bible verse. Thank God for families who tell their children about God.
- Social Distancing Tip: Make several baskets containing some beads and a string. After a preschooler has used the beads and string in a basket, set it aside to be disinfected.
3–Pre-K—Play with Toy Boats

Materials: Blue paper or fabric, wooden blocks, toy boats
- Lay the paper on the floor next to the blocks and boats. Tell children they can pretend the blue paper is water.
- Tell the Bible story as children play. Comment that Priscilla and Aquila traveled on a boat to a new city where they continues to tell about Jesus.
- Ask children to name people who tell them about God and Jesus.
- Thank God for families who worship and tell about God.
- Social Distancing Tip: Set up multiple stations with blocks, paper, and boats where children can build and pay individually. Disinfect the toys boats after use.
Kindergarten—Float Boats in Water

Materials: large plastic container of water, drop cloth, 2 towels, toy boats
- Layer the drop cloth, a towel, and the container of water on the floor. Keep one towel handy for drying hands and spills. Set the boats nearby.
- Sit with kids as they float the boats. Tell the Bible story as they play.
- Comment that Priscilla and Aquila traveled by boat to a new city where they continued to tell about Jesus.
- Say the Weekly Verse together. Thank God for families who tell about God and Jesus.
- Social Distancing Tip: Allow two children at a time to participate in this activity. Station them at opposite ends of the bin. Encourage the children to wash their hands before and after the activity. Disinfect the boats after each child has played with them.
