Materials: Teaching Picture 9; allergy alert sign; small nature items such as flower petals, blades of grass, and small leaves; paper, glue, marker
- Print the Weekly Verse across the top of a paper for each preschooler. Post the allergy alert listing the nature items being used.
- Give each preschooler a paper. Point to the words as you say the verse. Encourage her to glue items on her paper.
- Talk about the Bible story. Say that people can learn about Jesus in different places. Comment that the women were outside when Paul told them about Jesus. Show the teaching picture and help the preschoolers point out Paul and Lydia.
3–Pre-K—Make a Bible Verse Wrist Band

Materials: Teaching Picture 9, 2-by-9-inch paper strips, markers, stickers, stapler with staples
- Print the Weekly Verse on a strip for each child. Display the teaching picture.
- Invite children to decorate wristbands with markers and stickers.
- Tell the Bible story as the children work. Read the verse on the wrist bands. Show the Teaching Picture and comment that people can learn about Jesus in different places.
- Help children staple their wrist bands around their wrists.
Kindergarten— Play a Bible Verse Game

Weekly Verse: We tell that God send His Son for all the world. 1 John 4:14
Materials: Index cards, pen or pencil
- Print each word and reference of the verse on individual index cards. Make two sets.
- Mix the cards and lay them facedown on a table or on the floor. Invite a child to play by turning over two cards to find matching words. Guide kids to take turns finding matches.
- When all the matches have been found, separate the two sets. Encourage the kids to work together to put the words in order. Say the verse together several times.
- Comment that Paul told Lydia that God sent Jesus to love everyone.
