Bible Story: Jesus Made Bartimaeus Well Mark 10:46-52

Materials: Teaching Picture 12
- Take two or three children at a time outdoors to look at nature. Point out things you see. Comment that Jesus walked down many roads on His way to help people.
- Find a shady place to sit and tell the Bible story. Show the teaching picture. Say the Weekly Verse. Comment that Jesus makes people well.
3–Pre-K—Build a Hospital
Bible Story: Jesus Made Bartimaeus Well Mark 10:46-52

Materials: wooden blocks, emergency vehicles, index card, pen, tape
- Write Hospital onto an index card and tape it onto a column block. Place the sign and the emergency vehicles with the blocks.
- Invite boys and girls to build a hospital. Tell the Bible story as they build. Tell kids that Jesus helped people and healed; today doctors help people, but Jesus makes people well.
- Say the Weekly Verse together.
Kindergarten— Make Play Dough Words
Bible Story: Jesus Raised Lazarus John 11:1-44
Life Point: Jesus performs miracles.
Weekly Verse: Jesus, I know you are the Son of God. John 11:27
Materials: Teaching Picture 12, large index cards, clear contact plastic, marker, play dough
- Before the session write the following words onto large index cards, one word per card: FRIEND, LOVE, JESUS, NAME, and any other words from the Bible story. Laminate the cards or cover them with clear contact plastic.
- Display the teaching picture with the cards and play dough.
- Invite kids to use the play dough to spell the words on the cards. Guide them to make “ropes” and form them into letters. They can put the letters on top of the cards.
- Point to the teaching picture and tell the Bible story as kids work. Say that Jesus performs miracles.
- Suggest kids make letters to spell their names and the names of friends.
