Kindergarten—Make Necklace Booklets

Bible Story: Jesus Healed the Official’s Son John 4:46-54
Life Point: Jesus can heal people.
Weekly Verse: God gave Jesus the power and He went about doing good. Acts 10:38

Materials: Teaching Picture 5, construction paper, white paper, markers, hole punch, ribbon, other teaching pictures showing Jesus’ miracles

  • Cut the construction paper into 3-by-9-inch strips. Cut each strip in half to make a 3-by-4½-inch piece.  Cut the white paper to the same size. Fold the white paper inside the construction paper piece and staple in the fold or on the left side of the fold. Make a booklet for each child. Cut the ribbon to 18-inch lengths. Punch a hole in the top left corner of each booklet.
  • Guide each kindergartner to print the title Jesus on the front cover of his book. Show today’s teaching picture and talk about the Bible story. Show the other pictures and talk about the miracle performed in each story. Encourage the boys and girls to draw or write something about each picture in their booklets.
  • When a child is finished, help him thread a length of ribbon through the hole and tie the ends together. Comment that she can use  her booklet to help people know about Jesus.
