1s & 2s— Care for Dolls
Bible Story: Jesus Healed Ten Men Luke 17:11-19
Life Point: Jesus is powerful because He is God’s Son.
Weekly Verse: Jesus traveled to towns and healed sick people. Matthew 9:35
Materials: baby dolls, blankets, toy doctor kit
- Invite the preschoolers to care for the dolls. The children can rock the dolls or pretend to doctor them with items in the doctor kit.
- Tell the Bible story as children play. Comment that Jesus helped 10 men become well; Jesus is powerful because He is God’s Son.
- Say a brief prayer thanking God for sending His Son, Jesus.
3–Pre-K— Build with Ten Blocks

Materials: Teaching Picture 9, wooden blocks, several large gift bags
- Put 10 blocks in each gift bag. Place the bags of blocks on the floor with the teaching picture.
- Invite boys and girls to choose a bag of blocks to build. Point out the teaching picture and talk about the Bible story as children build.
- Comment that Jesus healed 10 men of a skin disease, and one returned to thank Jesus. Say that Jesus has power to heal because He is God’s Son.
Kindergarten— Sort Sets of Ten

Materials: 10 each of various items (small blocks, floral gems, river rocks, bottle tops), large bowl or container, small bowl for each item
- Put all the items to sort into the large bowl. Tell the kids to sort the items into separate bowls and to count as they sort.
- Tell the Bible story as kids work. Remind the boys and girls that Jesus healed 10 men of a skin disease. Say that Jesus was powerful and could heal because He is God’s Son.
- Lead kids in saying the Weekly Verse together as they continue to work.
