1s & 2s—Make a Handprint Mural
Bible Story: Thomas Saw Jesus John 20:19-31
Life Point: Jesus is God’s Son.
Weekly Verse: God loved us and sent His Son. 1 John 4:10
Materials: long piece of art paper, marker, tape, washable paint, shallow containers, wet wipes (optional)
- Write Jesus is God’s Son on the top of the paper. Tape the paper to a wall at preschoolers’ eye level, or tape the paper to the floor.
- Help a child press one hand into the paint and then onto the paper. Help the child wash his hands or use wet wipes to clean them. Print each child’s name under his handprint.
- Tell the Bible story as the children paint their handprints. Say the Weekly Verse.
3–Pre-K—Work Jesus Puzzles

Materials: Bible, puzzles featuring Jesus, strip of paper
- Mark the Bible at 1 John 4:10 with the strip of paper. Place the Bible near the puzzles.
- Tell the Bible story as boys and girls work the puzzles. Comment that Jesus is God’s Son; God made Him alive again and His disciples saw Him.
- Help a child open the Bible to the marked verse. Point to each word as you say the verse.
- Pray, thanking God for Jesus, His Son.
Kindergarten—Make a Bible Word Mosaic
Bible Story: Thomas Saw Jesus John 20:19-31
Life Point: Jesus is God’s Son.
Weekly Verse: God loved us and sent His Son. 1 John 4:10
Materials: white paper, colored paper cut into small squares, glue sticks, marker
- Before the session, print the word LOVE in large, open block letter on a sheet of paper. Use a marker or print on a computer. Make a copy for each child. Print the Weekly Verse on a separate paper. Display the verse for kids to copy.
- Invite kindergartners to glue the colored paper squares inside the letters to make a mosaic. Tell the Bible story as the children work.
- Comment that Jesus is God’s Son; He came back to life and talked to His disciples. Point to the words of the Weekly Verse as you say it with the kids.
- Encourage the kids to copy the verse at the bottom of their papers.
