1s & 2s— Walk on a Tape Path
Bible Story: Peter Told Cornelius About Jesus Acts 10
Life Point: People travel to other places to tell about Jesus.
Weekly Verse: We tell that God sent His Son for all the world. 1 John 4:14
Materials: Bible, Teaching Picture 7, masking tape
- Use the masking tape to make a path on the floor that travels around the room. Place the Bible and Teaching Picture at different places on the path.
- Lead two or three children on the path. When you come to the Bible, open it and say the Weekly Verse. Comment that Peter was kind to Cornelius. When you come to the Teaching Picture, point to Peter and Cornelius and tell the Bible story.
- Tell the children that Peter to another town to tell Cornelius about Jesus.
- Social Distancing Tip: Place the Teaching Picture in a gallon ziplock bag. Disinfect the picture and Bible after each child touches it.
3–Pre-K— Make a Handprint Mural

Materials: Bible, large sheet of paper, tape, marker, paint in pie pans, painting smocks, newspaper
- Tape the paper to the wall at the children’s eye level. Set the paint on newspaper near the paper. Print the Weekly Verse across the top of the paper.
- Help a child make her handprint with the paint onto the paper, then wash her hands. (If you do not have a sink, have a tub of soapy water and paper towels.) Print each child’s name on her handprint.
- Talk about the Bible story as children paint. Open the Bible and say the Weekly Verse. Comment that Peter traveled to another town to tell Cornelius about Jesus.
- Social Distancing Tip: Allow only two children to paint at a time. Direct them to wash their hands before and after painting. Disinfect the smocks between each child’s use.
Kindergarten—Make a Flag
Bible Story: Peter Told Cornelius About Jesus Acts 10

Weekly Verse: We tell that God sent His Son for all the world. 1 John 4:14
Materials: Bible, 9-by-12-inch heavyweight paper, stickers of various shapes (stars, circles, squares, rectangles, triangles), markers, yarn, hole punch, labels with Weekly Verse, pictures of flags of other countries
- Look at the pictures of the flags. Talk about the different kinds of designs each country has for its flag. Notice the shape and emblems used in the design of the flag. Comment that many missionaries travel over the world to many countries to tell about Jesus.
- Invite the children to design flags for their families. They can use stickers and markers.
- Talk about the Bible story. Explain that Peter went to visit Cornelius, who was from another country. Peter told Cornelius and his family about God and Jesus.
- Give each child verse sticker for his flag. Punch holes in the side and tie yarn through the holes.
- Social Distancing Tip: Limit the number of kids to two or three, depending on your space. Make a bag for each child containing several stickers and a verse label. Tape the flag pictures to a wall where kids can clearly see them.
