Bible Story: Abram Solved a Quarrel Genesis 13

Weekly Verse: Show love to one another. Romans 12:10
Materials: large sheet of bubble wrap, paint in cups, paintbrushes, painting smocks, paper, tape
- Tape the bubble wrap to a table. Help preschoolers put on smocks before painting.
- Talk about the Bible story as children paint. Mention that Abram and Lot had to solve a quarrel so their family members could get along. Say that they showed love for one another.
- Press a sheet of paper onto the bubble wrap to make a print for a child to take home.
3–Pre-K— Draw with Chalk

Materials: Teaching Picture 6, paper, colored chalk, small cups of water
- Display the teaching picture with the art supplies.
- Show children how to dip the chalk into water and then draw on their papers.
- Tell the Bible story as they draw. Comment that Abram and Lot needed to solve a quarrel so their family could get along with each other. Say the Weekly Verse together.
Kindergarten— Plant Grass Seed

Materials: Teaching Picture 6, small plastic cups, potting soil, plastic spoons, permanent marker, grass seed, spray bottle of water
- Display the teaching picture with the materials.
- Help kids to spoon some dirt into a cup, sprinkle some seed on the soil, and cover the seed with more dirt. They can use the spray bottle to water the seed.
- Tell the Bible story as children are planting. Show the teaching picture. Remind kids that Abram and Lot worked together to find a solution to their problem; they needed more grass and water because they has too many animals.
- Lead the kids to repeat the Weekly Verse with you.
