Bible Story: Moses
and the Israelites Exodus 19; 34:10-35

Weekly Verse: We will do what God
says. Exodus 19:8
Materials: Bible, small suitcase
or backpack, pieces of children’s clothing
- Place the Bible with the clothing and the suitcase.
- Invite a preschooler to pack a bag. Ask about any trips he might have taken with his family.
- Tell the Bible story as the children play. Comment that God can do all things; He led the people out of Egypt. Open the Bible to Exodus 19:8 and say the Weekly Verse.
3–Pre-K—Decorate Footprints

Materials: paper, markers,
stickers, scissors, pencil
- Help each child trace one or both of his feet onto a sheet of paper. (Trace around the shoes.) Help him cut out his footprints.
- Invite the children to decorate their footprints with markers and stickers.
- Talk about the Bible story as they work. Explain that God can do all things; He helped the people on their journey from Egypt.
Kindergarten—Make Sand Pictures
Bible Story: Moses
and the Israelites Exodus 19; 34:10-35

Weekly Verse: We will do what God
says. Exodus 19:8
Materials: poster board or
cardboard pieces, white glue, sand, dry tempera paint, pencils, bowls, spoons,
shallow box
- Put a small amount of sand into several bowls. Add some dry tempera paint to each bowl of sand and stir to combine. (Or use colored art sand, if available.)
- Guide boys and girls to draw a design on the piece of poster board. They can then cover the drawn lines with white glue and sprinkle some sand over the glue. Instruct them to shake the excess sand into the box lid.
- Talk about the Bible story as children work on their pictures. Say the Weekly Verse and comment that God can do all things.
