1s & 2s— Make a Bird Feeder
Bible Story: Noah Genesis 6:9–9:17
Life Point: God does what He says.
Weekly Verse: God put the rainbow in the clouds. Genesis 9:13
Materials: Teaching Picture 6, yarn, O-shaped cereal, tape
- Cut yarn into 12-inch lengths. Tape around one end to keep it from raveling. Tape the other end to a table.
- Give a child a handful of cereal. Show him how to thread the cereal onto the yarn.
- Tell the Bible story as children make their bird feeders. Comment that God helped Noah care for the animals on the ark. Comment that God does what He says.
- When a child is finished putting cereal onto her yarn, remove the tape from the table and tie the ends together. Tell her to hang it in a tree for the birds.
3–Pre-K— Make Cloud Paintings

Materials: white paint, blue paper, spoons, painting smocks, marker
- Put the paint in a cup. Fold the blue paper in half.
- Help a preschooler put on a smock. Help her spoon a small amount of paint on one side of her paper, fold the paper, and press it from one side to the other.
- When she opens her paper she will have a cloud picture. Comment that Noah saw clouds when the rains came, but after the flood Noah saw a rainbow that reminded him that God does what He says.
Kindergarten—Use Tools and Play Dough

Materials: fresh play dough, toy tools
- Put toy hammers and other tools on a table with the play dough.
- Comment that Noah used tools to build the ark. Continue to tell the Bible story.
- Ask kids if they remember what God put in the sky when the flood was over. Say the Weekly Verse together. Comment that the rainbow is a reminder of God’s promise.
