1s & 2s—Make Seed Shakers
Bible Story: Made the World Genesis 1:1-13
Life Point: God made all the world.
Weekly Verse: God made the world and everything on it. Nehemiah 9:6
Materials: Teaching Picture 2, small empty, clean water bottles; sunflower seeds in a large container; scoop; large funnel; seed packets; glue or tape
- Invite preschoolers to make a shaker. Help a child scoop some seeds into the funnel placed in a bottle.
- Comment that God made plants with seeds so more plants could grow; many plants God made are used for food.
- Glue or tape the lid on the bottle. Show the Teaching Picture and guide children to point to the plants in the picture. Look at the seed packets and talk about the kinds of plants that grow from them.
- Say the Weekly Verse as children shake their shakers.
3–Pre-K— Paint with Leaves

Materials: Allergy Alert, paper, leaves of different shapes and sizes, paint, foam paintbrushes, painting smocks, marker
- Print the Weekly Verse onto a paper for each child. Post the allergy alert listing the types of leaves being used.
- When a preschooler shows interest in the activity, help him put on a smock. Point to and say the words on the paper. Comment that God made all the plants and trees.
- Allow the child to choose the leaves he would like to use for his paper. Show how to brush paint on one side of a leaf and press it onto his paper.
- Say a prayer thanking God for making all the plants.
Kindergarten— Work in a Flower Shop

Materials: real or artificial flowers, nonbreakable containers for the flowers, toy cash register, play money, purses, tissue paper
- Display the flowers in containers like a flower shop. Provide the tissue paper to wrap the flowers for customers.
- Encourage kids to take turns working in the shop and being customers.
- Tell the Bible story as kids play. Comment that God made the flowers, plants, and trees.
- Say a brief prayer, thanking God for everything He made.
