Kindergarten—Build Animal Habitats

Bible Story: God Made Animals Genesis 1:20-25
Life Point: God made all the animals.
Weekly Verse: You are the only God. You created the earth and everything in it. Nehemiah 9:6

Materials: Teaching Picture 6, plastic interlocking bricks, small animal figures (forest animals, water animals, polar animals)

  • Tell the Bible story as kids show interest in the activity. Show the Teaching Picture and ask them to point out the different animals that God made.
  • Show the different animal figures you provided. Talk about where each animal might live and what they would live in—such as a bear would have a cave, a squirrel in a tree, and beaver in a dam in the water. Encourage them to build the habitats for each animal.
  • Say the Weekly Verse together as they continue to play.
