1s & 2s— Scoop and Pour Water
Bible Story: God Healed Naaman 2 Kings 5:1-16
Life Point: God expects people to obey Him.
Weekly Verse: We show love to God by obeying Him. John 5:3
Materials: Teaching Picture 13, large clear container of water, towels, large dropcloth, cups
- Put about 2 inches of water in the container. Place one towel in the center of the dropcloth, center the Bible Story Picture on the towel, and place the container of water over the picture. Children should be able to see the picture through the water.
- Invite boys and girls to pour and scoop the water. Relate their play to Naaman washing himself in the river.
- Point to the picture and tell the Bible story. Tell the children that Naaman obeyed God.
3–Pre-K— Walk on a Bible Verse Path

Materials: paper, marker, tape, Teaching Picture 13
- Print words of the Weekly Verse plus the reference on separate sheets of paper. Tape the papers in a path around the room. At the end of the path, lay the Teaching Picture.
- Invite a child to walk on the path. Challenge her to say each word of the verse as she steps on it.
- Point to the Teaching Picture at the end of the path and talk about the Bible story. Say that Naaman obeyed God and God healed him.
Kindergarten— Paint with Blue Paint

Weekly Verse: We show love to God by obeying Him. John 5:3
Materials: Teaching Picture 13, paper, paintbrushes, paint cups, painting smocks, several colors of blue paint
- Do this activity at an easel or at a table. Invite the boys and girls to paint with the blue paint. Comment that Naaman washed himself in the river.
- Show the Teaching Picture and talk about the Bible story. Tell the kids that Naaman obeyed God, and God healed him of his skin disease.
