Bible Story: Daniel Daniel 6:1-23
Life Point: God helps people do what is right.
Weekly Verse: God helps me. I will not be afraid. Hebrews 13:6
Materials: 3 Bibles of different sizes, poster board, marker, box, shredded paper
- Trace around each Bible onto the poster board. Hide the Bibles in the box of shredded paper.
- Invite a preschooler to find the Bibles in the box. When a Bible is found, help him match it to its outline.
- Open a Bible to Daniel. Comment that Daniel loved God; God helped Daniel do what was right.
3–Pre-K— Paint with Red, Yellow, and Orange Paint
Bible Story: Three Men Delivered from the Fiery Furnace Daniel 3
Life Point: God helps people do what is right.
Weekly Verse: God helps me. I will not be afraid. Hebrews 13:6
Materials: Teaching Picture 12; paper; paintbrushes: cups; painting smocks; red, yellow, and orange paint
- As the children paint, talk about the Bible story. Show the Teaching Picture and point to the three friends. Comment that the colors of paint remind you of fire.
- Remind the boys and girls that the three friends obeyed God, even though the king punished them. God helped them do what was right and saved them from the fire.
Kindergarten—Decorate the Bible Verse

Materials: Teaching Picture 12, banner paper or poster board, markers, colored circle stickers
- Print the words and reference of Hebrews 13:6 in all capital letters in the center of the banner paper or poster board.
- Kindergartners can decorate the verse by drawing with markers in the white spaces, or putting circle stickers over the letters.
- Read the verse with the children and talk about the Bible story. Point to the men in the Teaching Picture. Say that God helped them do what was right and saved them from the fire.
