Bible Story: The Israelites Crossed the Red Sea Exodus 14
Life Point: God can do all things.
Weekly Verse: I am God, and no one else is like Me. Isaiah 46:9
Materials: Bible, Teaching Picture 9, strip of paper, Kids Activity Page, footprints cut from construction paper
- Tape the footprints in a path around your room. Mark today’s verse in the Bible with the strip of paper. Lay the Bible, Teaching Picture, and Activity Page on the path at different places.
- Invite a preschooler to walk along the footprint path. When you reach the Activity Page, help the child do the activity. When you reach the Teaching Picture, talk about the Bible story. When you reach the Bible, open the Bible and say the verse.
3–Pre-K—Play with Boats

Life Point: God can do all things.
Weekly Verse: I am God, and no one else is like Me. Isaiah 46:9
Materials: Teaching Picture 9, toy boats, wooden blocks, blue paper or fabric
- Place the blue paper with the boats and blocks. Prop the Teaching Picture nearby.
- As preschoolers play with the boats, talk about times they may have ridden in a boat.
- Point to the Teaching Picture and talk about the story. Comment that the people trusted God and God helped them cross the sea on dry land. Say the Weekly Verse together. Comment that God can do all things.
Kindergarten— Hunt for Letters
Bible Story: The Israelites Crossed the Red Sea Exodus 14
Life Point: God can do all things.
Weekly Verse: I am God, and no one else is like Me. Isaiah 46:9
Materials: Teaching Picture 9, magnetic letters, magnet board, box, shredded paper, index cards
- Print the word POWER on an index card and tape it to the magnet board. Place several sets of letters that spell POWER in the box, hidden in the shredded paper. Place the box and the Teaching Picture near the magnet board.
- Invite a few children to play a game to find the letters and spell the word.
- After all the letters are found, point to the Teaching Picture and talk about the Bible story. Recall how God used His power to help the Israelites cross on dry land.
- Say the Weekly Verse together. Comment that God can do all things; He is omnipotent, which means all-powerful.
