1s & 2s—Care for a Baby Doll

Bible Story: Jesus Blessed the Children Mark 10:13-16
Life Point: We can be kind
Weekly Verse: Encourage one another to love and do good works. Hebrews 10:24

Materials: Bible, Teaching Picture 4, baby doll, blanket, baby care items (optional)

• Wrap the baby doll in a blanket. Place the doll on the floor with the Bible and baby care items, if you are using them.
• Encourage a child to hold the baby and rock it. If using the baby items, show how each one is used to care for a baby. 
• Point to the teaching picture as you talk about the story. Comment that Jesus was kind to the children. Open the Bible and say the Weekly Verse.

3–Pre-K— Decorate a Picture Frame

Weekly Verse: Encourage one another to love and do good works. Hebrews 10:24

Materials: Bible, foam picture frames, foam stickers, fine-point permanent marker

• Open the Bible to Mark 10 and place a picture frame on top. Print Jesus loves ______ on the bottom of each frame. 
• When a child comes to the center, print his name in the blank on a frame. Encourage him to decorate it with stickers.  
• Read the words to the child and talk about the Bible story as he works. Show where the Bible story is located in the Bible. Say that Jesus was kind to the children, and we can be kind, too.

Kindergarten—Make Fingerprints

Weekly Verse: Encourage one another to love and do good works. Hebrews 10:24

Materials: Bible, Teaching Picture 4, washable paint, paper plates, markers, paper

• Pour a small amount of paint into separate paper plates. Print the Weekly Verse onto a paper for kids to copy. Say the verse with the kids when they come to the center.
• Give each child a paper plate. Tell him to copy the verse onto his plate and then he can dip each finger into paint and press it onto his plate. 
• Talk about the Bible story as he works. Ask the kids to name ways they use their fingers to be kind.
• Show the teaching picture and talk about the Bible story. Say that Jesus was kind to the children, and they can be kind to others.
