- Place the leaves on the floor or a low table with the teaching picture. Invite a child to find the leaves that match. Point to the leaves and the tree in the teaching picture.
- Talk about the Bible story. Open the Bible and read the Weekly Verse and say the Life Point

Kindergarten—Make Cards
Bible Story: Jesus Loved Zacchaeus Luke 19:1-10
Life Point: We can love all people.
Weekly Verse: Love one another as I have love you. John 13:34
Materials: Bible, paper, rubber stamps, washable ink pads, stickers, markers, gel pens
- Print the phrase God loves you on a sheet of paper. Fold some of the paper in half to make cards. Arrange the materials on a table.
- Invite a child to make a card for a friend. Encourage her to print the phrase on the card. Open the Bible and read the Weekly Verse. Help each child think of someone to whom she could give the card.
- Tell the Bible story as kids work. Say that people did not like Zacchaeus because he was a tax collector, but Jesus loved Zacchaeus. Jesus loves all people. Say that we can love all people, too.
