Bible Story: Esau Forgave Jacob Genesis 25:27-34; 27:1-45; 32:1-23; 33:1-17

Materials: plastic or wooden people figures, plastic animal figures, cardboard blocks
- Place the figures with the blocks.
- Talk about the Bible story as preschoolers play. Say Jacob and Esau had a disagreement, but they made up.
- Comment that family members can love one another.
3–Pre-K— Go on a Trip

Materials: 4 chairs, paper plate cut to look like a steering wheel, suitcase, keys, toy camera
- Set the chairs to look like a car. Lay the steering wheel on one chair. Place the suitcase, keys, and camera nearby.
- Invite boys and girls to pretend to take a trip. Talk about places they might go.
- Comment that Jacob took a trip to see his brother Esau. Tell kids that Jacob and Esau had a disagreement, but Esau forgave Jacob. Say that family members can love one another.
Kindergarten— Count Animals

Materials: small animal figures, large bowl
- Place the animals in a bowl and place the bowl on a table.
- Encourage the kindergartners to count, sort, and organize the animals. Tell the Bible story as they work. Say that Jacob brought many animals to give to his brother Esau.
- Explain that Jacob had made Esau angry, but Esau forgave Jacob. Say that family members can forgive one another.
