Preschool Fall 2026 Christ Connection Statements

Use these statements to connect each session of Bible Studies for Life: Kids to Christ as you teach your children each week.

Unit 1, Session 1: Jesus Helped His Friends

Jesus taught people to help others.
Jesus was kind to His friends.  (Younger)

Jesus loved and helped His friends and taught them to love and help one another. Jesus loved and helped us by doing for us what we could never do. (Older)

Unit 1, Session 2: Jesus Prayed in a Garden

Jesus prayed to God and did what He said to do. 
Jesus taught people to pray. (Younger)

Jesus prayed to follow God’s will for Him. Jesus willingly died on the cross for our sins because He loves us. (Older)

Unit 1, Session 3: Jesus Loved Zacchaeus

Jesus loves all people. 
Jesus taught us to love one another. (Younger)

Jesus loves all people. Jesus died on the cross for all people’s sins. God wants us to love others as Jesus loves us. (Older)

Unit 1, Session 4: Jesus Blessed the Children

Jesus loves everyone, including children. 
Jesus teaches us to love others as He does. (Younger)

Jesus showed His disciples that all people are important, even little children. In fact, He said people should have the faith of a child. (Older)

Unit 2, Session 1: Joshua and Caleb

Jesus did what was right. 
Jesus taught us how to obey God. (Younger)

The people chose to disobey God. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. We still have consequences to our disobedience. We can ask God to forgive us and help us do what is right.  (Older)

Unit 2, Session 2: Joshua and Jericho

The Bible teaches that Jesus taught people to pray. Jesus prayed often.
The Bible teaches that God’s greatest promise was to send His Son Jesus. (Younger)

God’s Word is true and filled with His promises. God always keeps His promises. God’s greatest promise was to send His Son, Jesus, to be teach the right way to live. (Older)

Unit 2, Session 3: Elijah on Mount Carmel

Jesus worshiped God by reading the Scriptures and praying.
Jesus taught that God can do anything (Younger)

There is only one true God. God sent His Son to help us know more about God. Jesus taught that we are to worship only God. (Older)

Unit 2, Session 4: Daniel in the Lions’ Den

Jesus prayed to God.
Jesus did what God said to do. (Younger)

People can choose to obey God or not. Jesus is our example to follow. Jesus never sinned, but He came to earth and did what God wanted Him to do. (Older)

Unit 3, Session 1: Baby Moses 

God planned to send Jesus to earth as a baby. 
God planned for Moses and Jesus to help people. (Younger)

God sent His Son, Jesus, to help people live the way God wants us to live. God wants us to love and follow Him and His Son, Jesus. (Older)

Unit 3, Session 2: Ruth and Boaz

Jesus’ mother loved Him. 
Jesus was part of a family (Younger)

Ruth and Boaz had a baby named Obed. Obed was the father of Jesse, who was the father of David. God planned for Jesus to be part of David’s family many years before Jesus was born (Older)

Unit 3, Session 3: Abram and Lot

Jesus had a family.
Jesus taught to be kind to others. (Younger)

God had a very good plan for Abram and his family. The plan was also for all the people who would be part of Abram’s family. Many years later, a baby boy named Jesus was born into Abram’s family. (Older)

Unit 3, Session 4: Jesus Visited Mary and Martha (Babies–2s); Mary, Martha, and Lazarus (Kindergarten)

Jesus visited His friends.
Jesus showed love to His friends. (Younger)

Jesus loved and helped His friends and taught them to love and help one another. We can follow His example by loving and helping our friends. (Older)

Jesus has control over life and death. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Later, God raised Jesus from the dead. Jesus is still alive. (Kindergarten)

Unit 3, Session 5: Priscilla and Aquila

Jesus taught that we should worship God.
Jesus went to church with His family. (Younger)

Priscilla and Aquila worked together to tell others about Jesus. We can tell others about Jesus, too. (Older)
