1s & 2s— Carry a Doll
Bible Story: Jesus and the Man Who Could Not Walk Mark 2:1-12
Life Point: People help others know about Jesus.
Weekly Verse: Go and tell others about Jesus. Mark 16:15
Materials: Teaching Picture 2, doll, blanket
- Wrap the doll in the blanket. Lay the doll next to the Teaching Picture.
- As a preschooler shows interest in the doll, point to the Teaching Picture and talk about the Bible story. Tell preschoolers that the men brought their friend to Jesus because they knew Jesus could help him. Say that the friends helped others know about Jesus.
- Challenge older preschoolers to work together to carry the doll on the blanket.
3–Pre-K— Create a Mat
Bible Story: Jesus and the Man Who Could Not Walk Mark 2:1-12
Life Point: People help others know about Jesus.
Weekly Verse: Go and tell others about Jesus. Mark 16:15
Materials: Teaching Picture 2, fabric scraps, fabric scissors, paper, glue sticks, marker
- Cut the fabric into strips. Display the Teaching Picture with the art supplies.
- Tell the Bible story as children join the activity. Point to the Teaching Picture and talk about what children see. Comment that the men carried their friend on a mat to see Jesus.
- Tell children that they can make a mat by gluing the fabric strips onto their papers. Continue telling the Bible story as children work.
- Offer to print the Weekly Verse on each child’s paper. Tell kids that when the friends brought the man to Jesus, they helped others know about Jesus.
Kindergarten— Drive Cars

Life Point: People help others know about Jesus.
Weekly Verse: Go and tell others about Jesus. Mark 16:15
Materials: Teaching Picture 2, toy cars, wooden blocks
- Display the Teaching Picture with the blocks and cars.
- Invite kids to build and drive cars. Tell the Bible story as the children play.
- Point to the Teaching Picture and comment that the people learned about Jesus and what He could do that day.
- Talk about places kids go in the car they can tell people about Jesus.
