1s & 2s—Follow Footprints

Bible Story: God Provided for the People Exodus 15:22-16
Life Point: God helps people have what they need.
Weekly Verse: God will supply your needs. Philippians 4:19

Materials: Bible, Teaching Picture 3, strip of paper, Kids Activity Page, footprints cut from construction paper

• Tape the footprints in a path around your room. Mark Philippians 4:19 in the Bible with the strip of paper. Lay the Bible, teaching picture, and Activity Page on the path at different places.
• Invite a preschooler to walk along the footprint path. When you reach the Activity Page, help the child do the activity. When you reach the teaching picture, talk about the Bible story. When you reach the Bible, open the Bible, point to the verse,  and say it with the child.

3–Pre-K—Make a Food Collage

Materials: Bible, Teaching Picture 3, pictures of food cut from magazines or the Internet, paper, glue sticks, marker.

• Print the Weekly Verse, Philippians 4:19, at the top of a paper for each child. Lay the food pictures with the glue sticks in the center of a table.
• Read the verse from the paper with the children. Comment that in today’s Bible story, God helped people have what they needed. 
• Point to the teaching picture and tell the Bible story as the children work. When each child finishes his collage, help him open the Bible and point to the verse.

Kindergarten— Hunt for Letters

Bible Story: God Provided for the People Exodus 15:22-16
Life Point: God helps people have what they need.
Weekly Verse: God will supply your needs. Philippians 4:19

Materials: Bible, Teaching Picture 3, magnetic letters, magnet board, box, shredded paper, index cards

• Open the Bible to Philippians 4:19 and say the Weekly Verse. Lead the kids to repeat the verse with you. Pray, thanking God for supplying our needs.
• Print the word NEEDS on an index card and tape it to the magnet board. Place several sets of letters that spell NEEDS in the box, hidden in the shredded paper. Place the box and the teaching picture near the magnet board.
• Invite a few children to play a game to find the letters and spell the word. 
• After all the letters are found, point to the teaching picture and talk about the Bible story. Remind the kids that God provided food and water for the people, which were things they needed.
