Bible Story: The
Israelites Left Egypt Exodus 12:29-41;
13:17-22; 14
Life Point: God helps people.
Weekly Verse: We will tell about the
mighty things God has done. Psalm 145:4
Materials: Bible, small suitcase or backpack, pieces of children’s clothing
- Place the Bible with the clothing and the suitcase.
- Invite a preschooler to pack a bag. Ask about any trips he might have taken with his family.
- Encourage him to include the Bible in the bag. Comment that the Bible helps us know that God helps people.
3–Pre-K— Decorate Footprints
Bible Story: The

Weekly Verse: We will tell about the

Materials: paper, markers, stickers, scissors, pencil
- Help each child trace one or both of his feet onto a sheet of paper. (Trace around the shoes.) Help him cut out his footprints.
- Invite the children to decorate their footprints with markers and stickers.
- Talk about the Bible story as they work. Explain that God helped the people cross the Red Sea because God can do all things.
Kindergarten— Make Sand Pictures

Weekly Verse: We will tell about the

Materials: heavyweight paper or cardboard, white glue, sand, bowls, spoons, shallow box, powdered tempera paint (optional)
- Pour a small amount of sand into each bowl. Color each bowl by adding a small amount of powdered tempera (optional).
- Show a child how to “draw” a design with the white glue, spoon some sand over the design, and shake the excess into the box. Kids should only do small designs with glue before adding the sand. They can add more designs as they go.
- Talk about the Bible story and how Moses led the people over the sandy, desert land. Comment that God is powerful and can do all things.
