Grades 1-3
Introductory Activity – Choose
Materials: white, red, yellow, blue, green construction paper; tape; Giant Inflatable Game Cube or medium box
Tape a color of paper (except white) to each wall. Print WILD on two pieces of white paper and slide into the game cube. Slide one of each of the other colors into the game cube.
Tell kids that on your signal they will run to one of the colors. Say: “Go!” and kids run to the walls. Roll the cube. Tell kids standing by the rolled color to stand back in the middle of the room. Call: “Change!” The rest of the kids move to a new color. Roll the cube again and repeat. If you roll WILD, all the kids in the middle are back in the game. After the game, tell kids that they will learn more about making choices and being responsible for their choices.

Game – Blow Me Down
Materials: plastic cups (one per team), straws (one per child)
Group the kids into teams. Place cups, upside down, along the side of a table. Tell kids that they will blow through their straws to move the team’s cup across the table and off the other side. One or two members of each team can blow the cup at the same time. Ask a review question to the team that blows the cup off the table first. Reset and play the game again to review the Bible story.
Craft – Choices Chart
Materials: construction paper, markers
Give each child a piece of construction paper and markers. Direct them to write CHOICES CHART at the top of their paper. Tell them to create a chart. Instruct them to write the days of the week down the left side of the paper and put GOOD CHOICES and BAD CHOICES across the top. Direct them to write the Weekly Verse across the bottom of their page. Tell them to write down any good or bad choices they have already made today. Encourage them to put their chart in their room and write down their choices for the rest of the week.
Grades 4-6
Introductory Activity – Testament Toss
Materials: masking tape, foam ball or beanbag
Tape two lines about 3 feet apart on the floor. Group the kids into two groups. Guide teams to line up on the taped lines single file, facing one another. The first person in one line will toss the ball to the first person in the other line, saying the first book of the New Testament as he tosses. Then he goes to the end of the opposite line. The kid who caught the ball tosses the ball to the next person in the opposite line while saying the second book of the New Testament. Then she goes to the end of the opposite line. Kids should continue tossing the ball back and forth while saying the books of the New Testament. Tell kids that some of the books of the New Testament are letters. Tell them that today’s Bible story is from a letter written by Paul.

Game – Biblical Skits
Materials: no supplies needed
Form two groups with the kids. Read today’s biblical passage out loud. Instruct the groups to create a short skit reenacting the passage. Give the groups enough time to plan and prepare their skit. Allow each group to present their skit to the rest of the class. Write the Life Point on the board and say it together.
Craft – To-Do White Boards
Materials: white cardstock paper, clear contact plastic, washi tape, scissors, markers (optional)
Give each kid a piece of cardstock. Guide them to use the washi tape to decorate around the edges and sides of the paper, leaving the middle of the paper clear. (They could also use markers to decorate around the paper.) Help them measure and cut clear contact plastic to cover their entire paper. As they work, talk about the Bible story. Discuss choices they make. Tell them that the decorated board could be used as a personal to-do board. They can use dry or wet erase markers to write on the covered board, listing things they want to do or choices they make. c
