Worship Continually
The Point: Live your life as an act of worship.
Get Into the Study
Use the following information to introduce Question #1.
In the past, researchers from Australia and the United Kingdom have studied how playing video games impacts a person’s perception of time. They discovered that video game players experience something called “time loss” when they play. They lose track of time when they are playing the games. A study released this spring by the Entertainment Software Association shows that video games are very popular in the United States—164 million people play video games regularly. That number reflects that 65 percent of adults in the US play video games on a regular basis.
Say: With 164 million people playing video games, there might be a significant amount of “time loss” happening. But video game playing might not be the only place where people lose track of time. Then call attention to Question #1 (What’s something you enjoy doing so much that you lose track of time?) and invite volunteers to respond.

Study the Bible
Use the following information to supplement Question #4.
The Carsurance.net website recently shared an article titled “24 Distracted Driving Statistics & Facts – 2019.” Here are some of the stats they shared:
- 21% of teen drivers involved in a car accident were distracted by cell phones.
- Once a driver has been distracted, it takes only 3 seconds for a car crash to occur.
- 80% of all car accidents are caused by the driver being distracted in some way.
- Every year, distracted drivers are responsible for about 2.5 million car crashes.
Say: We’ve probably all heard warnings about the dangers of distracted driving. But there are other situations where distractions can cause us to lose our focus. Then call attention to Question #4 (What obstacles distract you from worship?) and invite volunteers to respond.

what is a good definition of worship
Lynn Pryor says
Worship is the honor, reverence, and worth we give to someone or something. We are to worship God alone because only He is worthy of our honor and praise. Authentic worship is when we respond to God because of who He is and all He is done.
