Communicate God’s Word
The Point: Knowledge of God’s Word should not be kept to yourself; pass it on.

Use the following information to introduce Question #1.
Blinkist Magazine recently published an article titled “Go Beyond Small Talk: 22 Conversation Starters for 2022.” The article suggests that while we sometimes feel dissatisfied after a conversation of meaningless small talk, we can feel excited and rejuvenated after a deep, meaningful conversation. The article these proposes some topics to kickstart meaningful conversations. Here are some of the topics on their list:
- Cryptocurrency
- Entrepreneurship and Work Culture
- Mindfulness and Philosophy
- Parenting
- Sleep
- Economics
- Science
Say: Maybe you’d enjoy a deep conversation about one of the topics on Blinkist Magazine’s list. Or maybe you’ve got some other favorite conversation topics. Then call attention to Question #1 (What’s something you often find yourself telling others about?) and invite volunteers to respond.

Study the Bible
Use the following information to introduce Question #5.
Bhim Biswa, pastor of the Syracuse Nepali Church in Syracuse, NY, saw a need in his community. Pastor Biswa’s church is located in an area where there are many immigrants from Africa and Asia, who love soccer. But the weather in upstate New York makes outdoor soccer a challenge during the harsh winter months. So Pastor Biswa dreamed up the idea of turning his church basement into an indoor soccer field. “The basement was useless before,” said Pastor Biswa, who comes from Bhutan and planted the church in 2009. “So, when we started sharing about our idea, God heard our prayers.” The former church basement, turned into a soccer field, is now in its second year of operation. Children, teens, and adults in the community come to play soccer at the church “Our goal is to share the Gospel with these kids. One group has ‘graduated’ from the league and all 20 of them heard the Gospel,” Pastor Biswa said. “We recently baptized a player, and it is a definite point of outreach.”
Say: Pastor Biswa and the members of his congregation found a practical way to impact their community – they built a soccer field! And it has opened doors for them to share the gospel. Then call attention to Question #5 (How can we practically impact our home and community with God’s Word?) and invite volunteers to respond.
