People are good at misunderstanding Christianity. Even believers can misunderstand some of the basics of the faith. That’s why it is important that we focus on the essential truths. In these seven sessions, we’ll be exploring things like: God’s nature, His purpose for people, sin, Jesus’ death, resurrection, and return, and the work of the Holy Spirit. By the end, our hope is that you come out with a richer understanding of the Christian faith. Even more importantly, we hope you come away with a clearer view of the Man whom people haven’t been able to stop talking about for two thousand years.
Session 1: The Nature of God

The Point: There is one God, and He has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Session 2: God’s Purpose for People

The Point: God created us to honor and live in relationship with Him.
Session 3: The Problem of Sin
Scripture: Isaiah 59:1-13
The Point: We are sinners, and on our own, we can do nothing about it.
Session 4: The Death of Jesus
Scripture: John 19:8-11,16b-18,28-30
The Point: Forgiveness is possible because Jesus died for our sins.
Session 5: The Resurrection of Jesus
Scripture: John 20:3-9,19-23,27-29
The Point: New life is possible when we trust in the risen Christ.
Session 6: The Work of the Holy Spirit
Scripture: John 15:26-27; 16:7-15
The Point: The Holy Spirit magnifies the work of Jesus.
Session 7: The Return of Jesus
Scripture: Matthew 24:3-8,29-32,42-44
The Point: Jesus will return to establish His eternal kingdom.
