How important is the Bible to you? Most Christians would say, “It’s very important!” However, our habits often tell a different story about how much we truly value the Bible. Research shows that less than a third of people who attend church spend time in the Bible every day. Only 32 percent of those who attend church read the Bible daily.1 Further, many people who claim to know and love Jesus only have a surface-level understanding of God’s Word. However, if we truly value Scripture, then we should develop the habits and disciplines that help us deepen our understanding, appreciation, and application of it.
