EXTRA! For Student Leaders—How to Know God’s Will—Outline and Social Media

August 12, 2019 By Morgan Hawk 4 Comments

Everybody wants to live well, but what does that look like? And how do we get there? If I choose Door #1, how do I know Door #2 wouldn’t have been the better choice? What if we make a mistake? Without knowing the future, it is often difficult to know which is the best decision. Thankfully, He knows the future. He knows the best way for us to experience abundant life in Christ—and He wants us to know it too! God doesn’t hide His will or make it difficult to find. It is readily available to those who want to know and follow Him. In this study, we will examine what Scripture reveals about how to know God’s will. When we learn to follow it, we will experience the abundant life God desires for us.

Session 1: God’s Will and My Will

Scripture: Ephesians 1:4-6; Romans 11:33–12:2

The Point: Seek to align your will with God’s will.

Session 2: God’s Will and the Bible

Scripture: Psalm 19:7-14

The Point: God gives us direction through His Word.

Session 3: God’s Will and the Holy Spirit

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 2:6-16

The Point: The Holy Spirit will guide us in knowing God’s will.

Session 4: God’s Will and the Church

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:1-11

The Point: God often reveals His plans for us through His church.

Session 5: God’s Will and My Circumstances

Scripture: Romans 8:26-32

The Point: God works on your behalf—even in seemingly random circumstances.

Session 6: God’s Will and the Glory of God

Scripture: John 11:1-4,38-45

The Point: We bring glory to God when we obey His will.

Session 7: Living in Gratitude

Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22

The Point: Give thanks—in everything!

The winter outlines should be available now. Sorry for the delay! The One Conversation is now called “Family Connection” and it is available with the purchase of a Leader Pack.
