We are providing this video as an example of how you could lead your Bible study group. This will not be an ongoing feature of EXTRA.
Use the following story as an alternate way to begin today’s session.
On March 9, 2020, Prince Harry and Megan, Duchess of Sussex, attended their last official event as senior members of Britain’s royal family. There has been scandal, speculation, rumor, and media coverage of their exit from royal life in hopes of having a more quiet and relaxed life to raise their family. But is there a difference in being a “royal” and being “normal?”
Ask, “What expectations might be different for a ‘royal’ opposed to an everyday person living a private life?” “How people might respond differently to a member of the royal family?” As your group talks, it will boil down to being set apart for a different purpose. A “royal” has different expectations, opportunities, and responsibilities from day one that continue throughout life.
In 1 Corinthians 6:9-20, the apostle Paul addressed this idea of being set apart. Christians are set apart so that we might bring honor to God.

Live It Out
Use the following to introduce the Live It Out section.
According to a recent study released by the consumer organization, Which?, over a billion Android devices are at an increased risk of being hacked due to a lack of security updates. Google’s data shows 42% of Android users running 6.0 or lower versions of the Android operating system. Android’s security bulletin reported no security patches in 2019 for Android systems at 7.0 or lower. Which? used this information to conclude that 2 out of 5 Android devices were no longer receiving security updates, leaving them vulnerable to security breaches, such as data theft and malware attacks.
Although setting up a new phone is a one-time event, keeping it running properly is an ongoing process requiring regular updates to fix problems and ward off attacks.
Similarly, while justification is a one-time event, sanctification in an ongoing process requiring a daily commitment to following Christ as He transforms us.
